NOSTALGIA - SATURDAY 1 JULY

A fan of The Beatles, The Beach Boys or just looking for a good evening's entertainment? St. Edmund's Choir perform their summer concert at 7:30pm on Saturday 1 July at Merchant Taylors' Boys' School. 
Taking you back to your childhood with classics like O Danny Boy, You Are My Sunshine and Over the Rainbow it's an evening not to be missed.

CHRISTMAS CLASSICS



St. Edmund's Choir and Wirral Community Choir present

Christmas Classics

Friday 16 December, 7:30pm
Liverpool Cathedral

St. Edmund's Choir is coming together with the Wirral Community Choir to represent both sides of the Mersey in an evening of Christmas song to raise money for four local charities: The Whitechapel Centre and Nugent Care in Liverpool, as well as the Ark Project and the Charles Thompson Mission in Birkenhead. 


We're going to have over 120 voices in the choir and the top-class Northop Silver Band to help everyone's Christmas start with a swing. Danielle Thomas and Roy Weissensteiner are our guests while BBC Radio Merseyside's Roger Philips is acting as Master of Ceremonies.

A bucket collection will also be taken for Merseyside and Cheshire Blood Bikes and Rainbow for Africa at the conclusion of the concert.

AN EVENING OF CHRISTMAS MUSIC 2015

Following three sell-out concerts at the same venue over the past 18 months, the Waterloo-based St. Edmund's Choir are presenting An Evening of Christmas Music in the stunning Concert Room at St. George's Hall on Saturday 19 December at 7.30pm.
 
The choir will be accompanied by the magnificent and award-winning Skelmersdale Prize Band and the evening features such classics as O Holy Night, Carol of the Bells and Hark the Herald. Also joining the choir will be a capella group Voices of Hope, soprano Kendal Bradshaw to keep us in the festive spirit.
 
The concert for the first time will be under the direction of Charlie Corkin, assisted by Katherine Lee and accompanied by Ann Dickinson MBE.
 
Tickets, priced at just £12 are available from here. Proceeds from the concerts will be going towards three local charities: Age Concern Crosby, Aiming High and Emmaus.

AN EVENING OF CHRISTMAS MUSIC

Following two sell-out concerts at the same venue over the past year, Waterloo-based St. Edmund's Choir are presenting An Evening of Christmas Music and Carols in the stunning Concert Room at St. George's Hall on Saturday 20 December at 7.45pm. Anna Corcoran, nominated as Female Artist of the Year at the 2013 Liverpool Music Awards, is the the special guest star. Birmingham Conservatoire graduates Kendal Bradshaw and David Usher also top the bill.

St. Edmund's Choir returns to St. George's Hall after a spectacular Christmas Concert. Something for Everyone includes music from many different genres from Operetta to The Beatles to John Rutter, and includes pieces such as Skyfall and Verdi's Hebrew Slaves Chorus. 

As always, the Choir will be under the baton of Musical Director, Martin O'Boyle, who recently became an Associate for the London College of Music, and they will be accompanied by Ann Dickinson MBE. 

Joining the Choir will be former Phantom of the Opera Roy Weissensteiner, who wowed audiences at our Songs from the Silver Screen concert performing Music of the Night and Crosby's very own soprano, Kendal Bradshaw, who will graduate in Opera this year from Birmingham Conservatoire.

CONCERT SUCCESS

Last night, we performed our sell-out Christmas Concert at St. George's Hall in aid of Jospice UK. It was a fantastic evening raising funds for their 40th Anniversary Appeal. 

Just a brief word of thanks to our Musical Directors, Accompanists, Guests Artists, Formby Band Technical Directors, Roger Philips, all the staff at Jospice and, of course, to the members of the choir.

If you missed the concert, we are reprising it on Sunday 29th December 2013 7pm at St. Edmund's Church, Oxford Road, Waterloo. Entrance is free (no ticket necessary) but a collection in aid of Parish funds will be taken at the end of the concert.

EXTRA CONCERT DATE

Due to our sell-out concert at St. George's Hall, we are having an extra date added to our Christmas schedule. On 29th December 2013, we will be reprising our concert at St. Edmund's Church, Waterloo. Doors open at 6:30pm and the concert begins at 7pm. Entrance is FREE but a collection will be taken in aid of parish funds.
